Today's reading from Paul makes me think of eternity as not just something beyond the future, but also a fact that exists parallel to the present. Eternity is here and now as much as anywhere else.<br /><br />The 'strangers and sojourners' here are perhaps those to whom the Lord says in yesterday's reading: 'I do not know where you are from'. They have not become 'citizens' and retain allegiance to their place of origin.<br /><br />There are lovely implications for the Church here.
